This book features a predominately Black, multiracial, multigenerational family with Interracial Parents of a Black Identifying Child.
Our lead character Jelani lives with his Mommy and Daddy in the same building as two cousins who are his age. One of his cousins spends time with her big sister in the book. Jelani also talks with his Great Granddaddy via video chat throughout most of our story.
In addition to the central characters of this book, additional extended family members are highlighted in family photos in Jelani’s home.
